// Dickinson Bay, Antigua//

YO.

So some of you may know, I have decided to return home to South Africa at the end of the month. I get picked up from the airport on 1 May and make my way to Afrikaburn for a few days, before officially making my way to Cape Town. It’s time to start making again. I’ll be looking for a place somewhere outside the city to rent; think Betty’s Bay, Scarbourough, etc. Somewhere to paint and make music. So if for some reason there is someone reading this who can hook me up with something. Let me know!

Otherwise these are some photos from a mission to a new beach with crazy white-blue water and dudes playing cricket.

SEE YOU ALL SOON.

Lastly, how rad is this shell I found.

// The Shack & The 21st January//

So I am now enjoying a week off the boat, staying in a little pink house with Stef and Mike. So rad. Had a good party last night for my coming of age 25. Started off with rum on the beach at midday and ended up on a couch self-time photo shoot in the early hours of the morning.

I can also tell you I’m still in Antigua. We’re heading back to St Martin at the beginning of February. Then most likely heading to the British Virgin Islands around the beginning of March. I’m back to work on Monday so, for now, I’ll be seeing some of this island with some amigos, sleeping in late and doing some future traveling plans, which I’m super amped for. Hope you all are styling into the new year!

I actually had a rad time at one of the yacht club parties with fire works and as much commercial music you can eat before eventually turning for the beach with Joe and Tereza at around 2am. We picked up some guitars, my xylophone, a bottle of rum, juice, water, one towel and some wine on the way. We then spent an hour building a fire and continued to jam into the sunrise in front of it’s warmth, talking about everything and nothing. I may have stolen a beached dinghy for a row in the bay at around 4am. And then pass out in the shade and sand around 7am only to be woken by the scorching sun. It was awesome.

These are but a few of the very few pictures we took from the morning.

Meet Simone. This dude had mad style. An artist too. I had to get a picture of him and he was only too kind to agree to one. So rad.

// LAND HO//

Radical friends and family! Thanks once again for finding your way here and reading the words which leave my fingers!

I’ve been in Antigua since last week Saturday and it’s been a wild ride of rum-punch-hangovers and cleaning the boat. I literally haven’t had worser hangovers than I have had here! And on those days I’ve been having to polish stainless steal in the sun or yesterday cleaning one of the black water tanks which overflowed (toilet urine and poo). That was an intense one. It’s not all cocktails and beaches after all.

However I did get my first 2 days off over the weekend to explore the island with Stef and Mike. Snorkeled through a big ship wreck, saw more turtles, jammed on the beach, ate ice cream and burgers.

But today, in a couple of hours, we move to an island further north, to St Martin; a smaller but more popular and busy place than Antigua. It will take around 10 hours to get there and I’m looking forward to being back on the ocean for the night.

I have to go now but I will leave you some photos of this paradise:

// From The Beach To Barcelona//

I arrived in Barcelona this evening after getting back from the beach yesterday and making some last minute arrangements. The work dries up in Palma over August and I have some connections to do some stuff over here in terms of work. Also really amped to check out this city. I think this is one place I could live in for a while. So I’m staying with Jemma until probably around the end of August or beginning of September and then heading back to Palma to try find some more work. That’s the plan now but who knows where I’ll be tomorrow!!! Mark is heading to Boom festival and Mike is heading to America to work so we all separating again which is always interesting!

We had the car again yesterday so we went out to find a beach with volcanic ash-mud you rub all over yourself. We ended up getting a bit lost and then on a pretty rad but heavy hike mission to find anything we could swim in, which lasted over an hour or so and involved some pretty mad cliffs! We settled for this cool place on some rocks. Franki and another chick that came with us did manage to find some mud in the end. Not sure if it was volcanic or not! But the place was epic. I had to look after my new tat which is right at the bottom of all the photos from the day. Good day, great day.

This is where we spent the day. Down on these rocks:

Mark’s make-shift spear-fishing rod. Not so lucky.

AND THEN THIS IS MY NEW TAT I DID ON MYSELF. Still deciding what to do in the scroll. So stoked.

// Cala Varques//

Saturday we all rented a car and headed up the coast to a beach called Cala Varques.

MOST AMAZING PLACE WE’VE SEEN YET.

My time summarised in short sentences from beginning to end:

Car ride. Long walk from parking. Beach. Sunset. Beer. Myself, Mark, Frances, Stef and a this legend dude staying with us. Then the rest arrived later into the night. Beer. Night missions. Night photos. Staying awake. Sunrise. Sleep. Woken by the police. Almost fined. Chilled. Spent the day on the beach. Clearest water in the world. Snorkeling. Caves. Rock jump. Beer. Hula hoop. Guitar. Drive back. Too much for words. Best.

// Ocean Polo//

Spent the afternoon on this beach. Got pretty sunburnt and then watched a waterpolo game. Leaving tomorrow morning back to Palma.

// Beach Pool//

So having an arm infection has it’s down side when you can’t swim in the sea with great ease. Thank goodness there just happened to be this hotel with a pool next to the ocean. Spent the majority of the day yesterday here.
